9U Braves Capture Dizzy Dean Georgia State Championship
The 9U Braves (26-2) capped off an amazing summer Wednesday night in Waleska, GA to bring home the 9U Georgia Dizzy Dean State Championship with a 12-2 win over the Sandy Springs Storm. After a runner-up finish in their first tournament, the Braves finished the season with 21 consecutive victories and 4 straight tournament titles in the All-Star Showdown VIII, Roswell All-Star Showcase, Dizzy Dean District 4 Tournament, and the Dizzy Dean State Tournament. A great bunch of kids who worked extremely hard for everything they achieved on the field.
The Braves defeated Murray Thunder (11-0), Acworth Warriors (16-3), Druid Hills (3-2) and NYO Drillers (4-3) on their run to the championship game.
