      COLD WEATHER GUIDANCE

For any scheduled games, below are the considerations that will impact the league and coaches’ decisions to move forward during periods of colder temperatures:

      • If the temperature as measured by www.weather.com for Atlanta, GA is projected to be between 38 and 44 degrees at any point during the event and there are any other factors (moisture, humidity, winds in excess of 10 mph, nighttime vs. daytime, etc.) that are expected to exacerbate the cold weather conditions even further, the league commissioner and the head coach(es) involved in the scheduled event, will make a determination at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled event as to whether it will move forward as planned.  All parties involved (commissioner and coach(es), must be in unanimous agreement for play to continue as scheduled).
      • If the temperature as measured by www.weather.com for Atlanta, GA is projected at any point during the event to drop below 38 degrees, normal rhythm will result in the cancellation or rescheduling of the event, however, there may be exceptions where play resumes due to beneficial factors (sunshine, limited wind, warmer temperatures for the majority of the event, etc.) or extreme challenges relative to the ability to reschedule.
      • Any decision by the league to terminate play for the day will supersede all other decisions.  If the fields and outdoor cages are closed for weather or to protect the fields, all events for the remainder of that day will be cancelled/rescheduled.
      • Coaches are expected to utilize the same guidance as above relative to continuation of any scheduled practices, but each coach can make the determination on behalf of their team so long as the league has not closed the facility for weather considerations.
