On Sunday, June 8, after beating NYO's B team (14-8) and Eastside's A team (15-1), we had a rematch with the undefeated NYO Drillers (who beat us in final of previous week's tournament). After jumping out to a 3-0 lead, NYO came back in bottom of 3rd to score 5 and load the bases with no outs. Sam Levitt came on to pitch and got a force at home, a fielder's choice and sliding catch in the OF to limit the damage to 6-3. He proceeded to throw 3 more shutout innings with errorless defense behind him, and some outstanding shortstop play by Anderson Beavor. The Braves tied the score in the 4th behind hits by William Sams, Nate Isler and Levitt, and took the lead for good in the 5th on back to back RBI singles by Daniel Sams and Beavor. 1st tournament win for this group was well deserved.
