10U Braves win Triple Crown State Championship
10U Braves capped off a great weekend of baseball yesterday winning the Triple Crown State Championship over the Coal Mountain Raiders! It was a great team effort all weekend and tremendously satisfying beating the NYO Toros during bracket play in a rematch from pool play.
Braves faced the Coal Mountain Raiders in the Championship game and cruised to an 8-4 vicotry that wasn't as cloase as the score indicated.
Overall a great team win. After the way we played against the Toros in pool play and the attitude on the team, for them to do a 180 and come back and win the whole thing was a proud moment for us coaches. We had a lot of guys step up with some big hits. We had 10 pitchers throw at least an inning over 7 games. Proud of these boys and off to Panama City tomorrow for the Grand Slam World Series!!
