Team Parent Responsibilities 2026

Thank you for volunteering as a Team Parent for your child’s baseball team!  Below is an overview to help guide you throughout the season.

Overview of new websites and applications:

• Sports Connect - This is our registration system.  This is where you register your player to play baseball and you register yourself as a volunteer.  Sports Connect hosts our website too!  You will find lots of information on our website that will be very useful throughout the season:  field closures, team/league schedules, Team Mom Headquarters, etc….

• Game Changer - This is the app that we use to keep score in our A - Majors leagues.  For all leagues, TB4-Majors, your team’s game and practice schedule can be found in Game Changer along with Team Roster.  A lot of coaches will use the Messages function to communicate with their teams.

• HiCast- this is our field camera streaming service for TB5-Majors. You can subscribe here http://www.hicastsports.com/buckheadbaseball and have all those amazing catches and big hits recorded for download.  This is great for out of town grandparents or family members to watch games streamed live as well! 

• E-mail - All e-mails from the league will come from [email protected]. Please flag this as a favorite to make sure these do not go to your junk mail.

• Text alert system: please text buckhead (all lowercase) to 470-288-0622

• Lightning Detection: please download the Thoralert app.  Our code is 401. You will want to receive notifications for all clear, red alert and severe storm

• Sign up as a Volunteer in Sports Connect.  Be sure to select Team Parent when choosing your role.  

• Get guidance from the Head Coach regarding plan for managing team communications

• Remind parents to sign up for text alerts as practice and game schedules change frequently due to weather conditions.   All field closures will be posted on our website first so encourage parents to look there as well!

• Suggest setting up a text group for moms for help with carpooling, etc.

Uniforms:

• TB4 - AAA will receive a hat and a jersey (reminder to write names in hats)

• Team mom coordinate belt and socks

• Parents must purchase pants on their own.  Buckhead will not provide pants.

• The league will have jerseys named & numbered and announce a pick up date at the park

Opening Weekend - March 14 & 15

• TB and Majors kids only for opening ceremony.  TB moms will want to get balloons for their team and make a fun posterboard for your team to carry in the parade. 

• All other leagues will have fun activities throughout the weekend.  Stay tuned!

Swag Shop

• Opens on opening day.  Season hours are Saturday 11-3 and Sunday 1-5.

• Majors and AAA teams are all required to work a shift.  Sign up genius coming. 

Security

• There will always be a security guard on duty.  If you see anything suspicious or need help with any emergencies (parking, health, suspicious person), please call 404-358-5353.  Please share this number with your team! Any one in our Buckhead Baseball community can use it!

Concession Stand “The Dugout” 

• Concession stand will have family meals available for take home purchase.  We also encourage your team to purchase a tailgate package and go watch a majors game once during the season.  You can find the link to new concession stand pre-order purchases under Team Central —--> Team Mom HQ on our website.

Team Budget

• Suggested around $50 per family to cover end of season coaches gifts, parties, lettering.

Team Snacks

• Optional : Younger leagues often like to organize post game snacks and coordinate a family sign up.

Lost Items

• Please ask parents to label all uniforms, bags, gloves, helmets with players name and number.

• Lost and found is located behind the green double doors by the concession stand.  It is open on the weekend.  If you have lost something, feel free to e-mail: [email protected].

• Items will be kept for one month.

End of Season Celebrations

• Coordinate with your Head Coach regarding interest and plans for a team celebration

• We suggest reserving the pavilion.  A link to reserve can be found on our website Team Central —---> Team Mom HQ.

• Participation trophies will be given to those in leagues TB4 - Young Bucks.  Rookie teams will receive a participation t-shirt.  Older leagues season champions and tournament champions will receive trophies.
