Player Eligibility
What league will my child be in for the Fall 2026 / Spring 2026-27 season?
"League Age" is your child's age on APRIL 30, 2026.
Please use the table below to determine the correct league age for your child in the Fall 2026 / Spring 2027 seasons. Note that all leagues are single age groups from TB4 thru AA, and players may only register for their correct league age. 11 and 12 year olds are eligible for Majors and participation is determined by tryout and a player draft (for Spring ONLY). All 10 year olds play AAA. Any 11/12 year olds who are not drafted onto a majors team or elect not to try out for majors will play in AAA. Players will only be allowed 2 total spring seasons in the Majors league.
Please note: To be eligible to try out for Majors, a player MUST have previously played a spring season in our AAA league. Exceptions are made for family moves from out of town, injury, family hardship or other situations at board discretion. Please see additional notes specific to Majors tryouts and drafts HERE.
Across all age groups, players are
strongly encouraged to play with their birth year age group no matter their grade in school. The board will consider parents' special request to "play up" or "play down" under the following conditions:
-The request must move the player to be with their school grade classmates
-This is a 1 time move and the player must progress with their new class for the remainder of their years at Buckhead Baseball.
-A player playing "up" is only eligible for summer all stars in his/her new league, not their correct birth-year league. A player playing "down" is ineligible for summer all star selection.
No teammate or coach request is guaranteed to be granted.
Teammate/Coach requests made during registration are considered for TB4, TB5 & Young Bucks. For Rookie-Majors, special requests for teammates or coaches will be considered in extenuating circumstances only.
